You can instantly access online databases such as MEDLINE, PsycINFO, and library card catalogs to find relevant references for your research. With BookWhere 2000, you can search multiple databases simultaneously, saving you time.

Using BookWhere 2000 is like searching a "Virtual Union Catalog" of hundreds of libraries.  You can search groups of libraries, for example academic libraries that provide Inter Library Loan services to your institution, or special libraries in medicine, engineering, law and other disciplines, or all public libraries in a region.

For example, if you are researching the legal implications of an increased incidence of the AIDS in US prisons, you can use BookWhere 2000 to identify sourceworks beyond what is available locally. You might want to include these sources in the "further reading" section of your manuscript, or pursue alternative methods (Interlibrary loan, for instance, or amazon.com) of adding these sources to the background material for your project.


Requirements
BookWhere 2000 requires a connection to the Internet.

Note that some commercial databases, such as Ovid, require an account and password for access.

The minimum hardware required is a Pentium processor, 16 MB RAM and 4 MB free disk space, CD-ROM drive for installation only,VGA monitor and mouse.
