To generate citations for a law review article or comment:
- Prepare your document with Access keys,
citing the authorities entered in your database.
Example document with Access keys:
You can also include the Access keys in your footnotes, along with
signals and other explanatory text.
- Start LegalCitation, and then open the database containing records for
the authorities cited in the document.
- Choose Generate, Citations for document. The Generate Citations dialog will display.
- Set the options in the dialog for the citation style.
To write footnotes in Bluebook style, for instance, you would set the dialog as follows:
- LegalCitation will scan the document, and then write footnotes for all authorities cited.
Our example document, for instance, would look like this after LegalCitation has written
the footnotes:
